Lou Donaldson Centennial Celebration

Honor the centennial of NEA Jazz Master Lou Donaldson with a tribute to his legacy. Having recorded with Thelonious Monk, Clifford Brown, and Art Blakey, Donaldson bridged bebop, hardbop, and soul jazz with his blues-drenched alto saxophone sound. Featuring longtime collaborators and friends, this evening celebrates the music, spirit, and lasting influence of one of jazz’s most beloved voices.
