Paper Jays / Bent Light / Creative Writing

Rhode Island-based quartet Paper Jays make hypnotic rural folk that takes its time and obscures its experimental spirit behind thick layers of traditional rustic sounds. instagram.com/paperjays_paperjays/ paperjaysesp.bandcamp.com Bent Light is the duo of Michael Slyne and Russel Linder. 2 punk rockers and less volume. Two guitars. Millions of pedals. Busted tape machines sing too. Sometimes beautiful, sometimes harsh. They say it feels like a dream. instagram.com/michaelslyneisnttheonlydreamer memorywasterecs.bandcamp.com/album/the-daylight-is-ours Creative Writing is the latest musical endeavor from members of Huevos II, Luxor Rentals, Sore Eros, Jeanines and Estrogen Highs. Formed in late 2023, the group builds upon their previous experiences with songs that buzz, roar, and chime in ways that anyone of any gen – X or otherwise – with an ear for indie guitars would plead nolo to. creativewriting.bandcamp.com instagram.com/creativewritingband/ $10 suggested donation
